Educational information
Spark Magic Science & DIY offers informational DIY science projects and STEM activities. Content is not a substitute for qualified advice where a situation requires it, and it does not guarantee that an activity is suitable for every participant or setting.
Science activity safety
Everyday materials can still present risks. An adult should review each project, supervise children, follow material labels and use appropriate protective equipment. Keep chemicals out of children’s reach in their original containers. Do not taste experimental materials or mix substances outside the project instructions. Consider allergies, heat, glass, sharp tools, choking hazards and ventilation before beginning.
Results can vary
Material composition, quantities, temperature, timing and equipment can affect an experiment. Photographs and descriptions illustrate ideas rather than promise identical results. Stop an activity if conditions become unsafe or you are unsure how to proceed.
Accuracy and outside resources
We aim for clear explanations and realistic outcomes, but content can contain mistakes or become outdated. External websites and product information are controlled by their respective operators. Verify labels and current instructions for the materials you use.
